Square Foot, LLC was part of the consultant team that provided a retail merchandising strategy and leasing rationale for the Albany Business Improvement District. Our role focused on understanding the BID’s trade area and the role of downtown within the regional market.
Square Foot led the analysis of the retail market, competition, and customer base. We reviewed downtown retail space, evaluated existing retailers, and identified opportunities created by transit hubs, planned residential development, and event-driven traffic from the Pepsi Arena.
The resulting merchandising strategy identified target uses and tenant ideas for key locations, including large blocks of vacant or under-utilized property that could support re-tenanting and repositioning over time.
