Square Foot, LLC served on the consultant team contracted by the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) to address both the physical and economic conditions of the Fulton Street corridor.
Our responsibilities included establishing a retail baseline by examining existing street-level retail, estimating the amount of selling space, and generating approximate sales per square foot. We then collaborated with project partners to develop a merchandising framework, identifying nodes for development and retail uses for in-fill sites.
Square Foot also contributed to retention strategies and coordinated management and marketing approaches, leveraging our background in city management and downtown revitalization to inform streetscape design and policy recommendations.
